Pastel Princess and Mr. Abstract

The title of this is "Life".  To me I see life as an endless number of circles.  Each choice we make is a circle.  No matter if it is what kind of breakfast cereal to buy or which job to take.  We start out thinking something, "I love Rice Chex" and then we think about it.... "Do I really LOVE Rice Chex...?" and then we make our decision.  Our thinking goes in circles and that's what my thinking was when I made this. This is "Slum".  I was listening to an NPR piece about flying over the large slums in places like Mexico City and the description brought this image to mind.  Each brush stroke is a roof of a slum dwelling.  They are clustered with path to walk on throughout. This is "Untitled".  I was thinking about what it must be like when we move from this life to the next.  How we leave the confines of our earthly body and can go anywhere in the galaxy that we choose.  We sort of come apart into a m...

 Pastel Princess here: So, when I look at this, I see a beach campfire. I see a beach campfire PROBABLY because my favorite places are (a) the beach, (b) the creek, or (c) the pond. I also think fire is really interesting. Because, what is fire REALLY? So that's why I think I made this. I don't quite remember because it was a while ago but, I guess if you look at it, you see those tissue paper streamers you use for Chinese New Year also. Fire&Water     This painting looks like a girl in a field. I don't know what I was trying to do here but I may have been going for a tree :) but I always (or, most of the time) end up painting different things than what I want to.   This one is the desert.
